RACV Cobram Resort
RACV Cobram Resort is the resort we choose to stay as we explore this northern part of Victoria, commonly known as Victoria's Sun Country on the Murray, on account of the 300+ days of sunshine it gets every year.
Cobram is about a 3 to 4 hours drive from Melbourne. The easiest way to the RACV Cobram Resort is to take the Hume Freeway out of Melbourne and then continue onto the Goulburn Valley Freeway through Shepparton, then onto Cobram.
The resort has 10 hectares of landscaped gardens. The accommodation type on offer consist of spacious two-bedroom apartments, self-contained cabins and caravan park with an extensive range of recreation facilities suited for families. This includes floodlit tennis courts, a BMX track and children's playground, the giant jumping pillow being the favourites with children and adults. There are walking trails for those who like a breezy peaceful walk around the resort perimeters or a shorter track around the lake.
There is the putting green and golf driving range for those who like to work on their handicaps before trying out the local golf clubs; Cobram-Barooga Golf Club, Tocumwal Golf Club or the Yarrawonga and Border Golf Club.
The resort do have a swimming pool but it was under renovation at the time of our stay. Overall the place has the feeling of space, is clean and well kept with lots of grassed areas. We enjoyed our stay very much at the resort.
